The collaboration between Swiss based Gaia Global SA (www.gaia.fi) and Cleantech NRW (http://www.cleantechnrw.de) is a success story for cleantech match making and collaboration, facilitated by the connections the organization shared through the Global Cleantech Cluster Association.

The partnership began when Cleantech NRW was looking for expertise to trigger the development and marketing of industrial climate protection technologies. It sought out tools that could contribute to the long-term global reduction of CO2 emissions and other greenhouse gases, as well as prepare the Leading-Edge Cluster competition from the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). Cleantech NRW (http://www.cleantechnrw.de) has engaged Swiss based Gaia Global SA (www.gaia.fi) as an expert to sharpen and strengthen its overall strategy, innovation and international multiplication potential. The Cleantech NRW incorporates both the leading German industry from the energy, steel, chemical and biotechnology sectors and most known academia and research institutes.

Gaia is member of the Swiss Cleantech Association and an independent leading expert partner to organizations looking for innovative solutions for sustainability corporations including, corporations, international organisations, and private and public institutions. With its in-depth, multi-disciplinary and cross-sectoral expertise, Gaia has worked to develop an integrated sustainability approach for businesses, as well as help them adapt life cycle tools for business and innovation purposes.

“An effective implementation of green business models for a low carbon economy is based on holistic integration of sustainability in the innovation process (sustainovation) and focusing on the life cycle of services or products.  It is all about best practices and international cleantech cluster collaboration facilitated by GCCA to realize such emerging tools,” points out Alain Schilli, CEO of Gaia Global SA.

“Sustainability has a lot of different perspectives and we at CleanTechNRW work together with different professionals from all over the world. Working together with GAIA brings us value and reliable results,”  said Dr. I. Gaida, Cluster Manager at CleanTechNRW
